Our 2024-2025 Community Service Director

Craig Jackman

 

 

Craig moved to the Quinte region in 2012 to become a Professor in the Radio Broadcasting and Journalism programs at Loyalist College after a 28-year career in Media in Ottawa. 
 
He graduated from Algonquin College in Ottawa in 1985, as well as St Clair College in Windsor in 2016.  Craig has been a Certified First Responder for first aid for over 20 years and was the PA Announcer for the Belleville Senators from 2017 to 2019. 
 
In addition, Craig has been a Contributing Writer for media trade publications and worked closely with Adobe Systems in the development of Adobe Audition digital audio editing software, as well as Media Director for CCBC/Vanier Community Church in Ottawa, member of the church band, and co-producer of the fundraising album the band recorded. 
 
Craig recently celebrated his 33th anniversary with his wife Micheline, and they have one daughter (Catherine), a neurotic cat (Sheldon), and grand-dogs (Briggs and Fudge).  Craig has been a member of Rotary since 2018.

Aligning with Rotary International's 7 AREAS OF FOCUS - the Rotary Club of Trenton Community Service Committee is responsible for supporting programs for the purpose of improving the quality of life of the population in our local community, Quinte West.
 
Once our committee has received your application, it will be scored at a Community Service Committee Meeting, based on a criteria system we have developed. Those applications that our committee scores highest, will be brought to the next Board Meeting, with a recommendation from the Director for funding approval. Please Note: per the by-laws of the Rotary Club of Trenton, our committee can only accept funding applications for the current board year. Multi-year projects MUST reapply on an annual basis.
